About Us

Now is a great time to join Oxfordshire County Council Signals & Solutions, part of our innovative Network Management service. We arecommittedto delivering high-quality, safe, and smart traffic signal infrastructure across the Oxfordshire highway network.

We are seeking an Officer to join our Traffic Signals Team, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver an excellent service to local residents.

About the Role

The core purpose of this role is tosupportthe management of routine and reactive traffic signal maintenance across the County, advise and quality check proposals for new signals, andsupportthe implementation of proposals from third parties.

You will contribute to the effective maintenance of traffic signal assets, ensuring that they remainoptimised for local circumstances, and that new schemes for signals are designed and installed to national and local standards.

The post-holder will also ensure signals areutilised to mitigate congestion on the network as part of contingency planning and work to manage traffic flows on congested roads.This is a key role in the delivery of the County Councils priorities to promoteactivetravel and behavioural change.

Whilst based at Ron Groves House in Kidlington, there are both flexible and agile working options. Site visits for inspections and project supervision are also required.
