Eager to help us write the next chapter in Sandwellâs story of transformation?
Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and help steer Sandwell Council towards an even brighter future? Are you the kind of person who sees opportunity in every challenge and loves bringing people together to make big things happen? This could be your next big move. Itâs a genuinely exciting time to join Sandwell Council as we continue our journey to become an outstanding organisation, and your leadership could be just what we need to get there.
As our HR Change Lead, youâll be both the creative spark and steady hand guiding how we manage and deliver change across the council. Working closely with HR Business Partners, youâll help bring people together, build trust, and make sure every change adds real value and supports the councilâs ambitions. Whether youâre shaping new policies, introducing helpful digital tools, or collaborating with Trade Unions and senior leaders, youâll keep our transformation journey open, honest, and people focused.
Youâll lead the councilâs approach to organisational design, structure governance, and change management, acting as the âdesign authorityâ to embed consistency, fairness, and strategic alignment in every workforce change. Youâll advise and challenge senior leaders, create and evolve frameworks and digital tools, and champion equality, diversity, and inclusion at every stage. By empowering others to lead change with confidence, youâll help create a positive, resilient council where people and progress go hand in hand, and where every change helps us achieve our council plan.
If you have a proven track record of delivering meaningful change, influencing senior stakeholders, and making a real impact through people, weâd love to hear from you. Our change programme should be closely aligned with our strategic priorities, helping to turn the councilâs ambitions into real, measurable outcomes for our colleagues and the communities we serve.
