We have an exciting role on offer within our Chief Executive's Department as a Corporate Governance, Policy and Strategy Lead.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the very heart of Middlesbrough Council, supporting the Chief Executive to drive the Council Plan and shape the organisation’s strategic direction.

In this pivotal role, you will provide high-level advice on policy, strategy and corporate governance, lead horizon scanning across local, regional and national agendas, and manage complex, sensitive issues with confidence and discretion.

For this new role, we are looking for an experienced, politically astute professional with excellent judgement, strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of how local government works. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy tackling complex challenges and want to make a real impact for Middlesbrough, we’d love to hear from you.
