We are looking to recruit a Project Lead and Data Officer to join our Westmorland and Furness Music Service Team. You will support the delivery of the Music Service and the Cumbria Music Hub programme, and our strategic priorities. This post will suit a highly organised, enthusiastic and pro-active person who has proven skills in, or who wishes to develop their Arts Management and Leadership skills. Our new colleague must be dedicated and committed to providing high-quality musical opportunity for children, young people, and their educational settings. They will need to be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and to organise, prioritise and work autonomously and flexibly to meet targets.
If successful, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Leadership Team of the Music Service and Music Hub and will be responsible to the Music Service Coordinator. The role will include the opportunity to work with varied and diverse stakeholders including children and young people, their schools and families.
The successful applicant will provide support for the operational management and delivery of the Westmorland and Furness Music Service and Music Hub suite of programmes and music education opportunities across the Cumbria Music Hub. Westmorland and Furness Music Service is a traded service and the lead organisation of the Cumbria Music Hub which is funded by the Department for Education and brokered by Arts Council England.
Through the Music Service and our Hub Partnerships we deliver a wide range of high-quality music education offers to support the musical lives and development of children and young people, schools, and other education providers. Delivering services within and beyond the classroom we work with 80% of schools, and over 7,000 children and young people each week.
Cumbria Music Hub works in partnership with local and national partners including, The University of Cumbria, The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and a wealth of local engagement and delivery partners to co-deliver programme to schools and young people.
Our aim is to enable all children and young people have access to music education, and to enjoy music making through learning to sing, playing an instrument and creating music, and having the opportunity to progress their musical interests and talents. We also ensure the sustainability of music education through innovative workforce development programmes for music teachers and practitioners whilst also fostering workforce development opportunities for emerging musicians.

Hybrid working is a feature of this role, however there is a requirement and expectation for face-to-face meetings, and programme delivery across the county of Cumbria and beyond.
