Your role
- Assist with the technical aspects required for project delivery, including feasibility, concept design, detailed design, preparation of tender and contract documentation, invitation of tenders and supervision of construction works on site.
- Contribute to project implementation to meet the required CDM, quality, health & safety and environmental standards.
- Assist with preparing schemes for tender.
- Set and work to personal targets to meet programme requirements and client needs.
Your profile
- Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering/Landscape Architecture or a related subject (or working towards it).
- Direct experience in the design, implementation and supervision of highways projects.
- The ability to work within an engineering team to produce design outputs.
- The ability to contribute to feasibility studies, including preparing reports, cost estimates, investigating problems and identifying options.
- An appreciation of relevant legislation and guidelines such as the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, British and European Standards, Eurocodes and Codes of Practice.
- Initiative and ingenuity in solving problems.
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- At least working capability in AutoCAD software for the preparation of designs and drawings, and a desire to enhance these skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
