Rushcliffe Borough Council is seeking an exceptional senior leader to join our Executive Management Team as Director of Law, Governance, Policy and HR and statutory Monitoring Officer. This is a pivotal role, providing leadership across legal, HR, electoral and policy services at a defining moment for local government.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will work closely with Members, senior officers and partners to support sound decision-making, strong assurance and high standards of public service.
About the role
As Monitoring Officer, you will provide clear, trusted advice on constitutional, legal and governance matters, ensuring the Council acts lawfully, transparently and with integrity.
You will also play a leading role in Local Government Reorganisation and devolution, helping shape future arrangements, manage risk and support effective collaboration across Nottinghamshire.
