You will join a service that is passionate about our children and care experienced young people, they really are at the centre of everything we do!
Are you passionate about supporting cared for children and young people? Building positive, meaningful relationships, promoting permanence, undertaking direct work and making a positive impact in the lives of our truly remarkable children and young people, their families and those who are important to them?
If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Cared for and Care Experienced Team.
We have high expectations for each other and work to ensure that the wishes, feelings, views and aspirations of our children, young people and important people in their lives are at the heart of our practice. In return, we offer a supportive and friendly team environment, regular group supervision, access to our fleet vehicles, ongoing training and development via our Social Work Academy.
We have an experienced and aspirational management team who are accessible and supportive, working together to create the very best practice environment and practice outcomes for our children, young people and their families.
Here in Cumberland, we have 4 Cared for Children and Care Experienced Teams, made up of Social Workers and Pathway advisors supporting children and young people across the age range (between 0 to 25). Our teams are co-located with team bases in Carlisle and Workington, however we work closely together to ensure we provide the very best care and support.
If you are a qualified Social Worker wanting to make a positive impact in the lives of our children and young people we would love to hear from you.
For an informal discussion about the teams and service please contact team manager Laura Harding (laura.harding@cumbria.gov.uk) or service Manager James Moore (james.moore@cumbria.gov.uk)
