We have an exciting opportunity for several new General Assistant positions at both Laburnum Lodge (Breightmet) and Wilfred Geere House (Farnworth).
What will your working week look like?
Contractual hours ranging between 20-32.5 hours a week (to be discussed at interview).
Opportunities to pick up additional shifts.
Rolling 4-week rota.
Working between 7:30am – 7pm dependant on shift pattern.
Weekend on/ weekend off basis to promote work life balance.
Duties include ensuring general cleanliness and high standards of hygiene are maintained throughout the premises. Ensuring that bedding and resident’s personal clothing are clean and freshly laundered. Completing deep cleans when required. Completing cleaning schedules in accordance with Bolton Council & NHS requirements.

We provide 24-hour residential care for service users who require continuation of care and rehabilitation, across two units: Laburnum Lodge, situated in Breightmet and Wilfred Geere House in Farnworth. The aim of the Units is to support residents to regain as much independence as deemed achievable and return home or move onto alternative care arrangements.
At Bolton we recognise the skills individuals can bring and promote joint working, with both NHS staff and local authority staff working on-site. You will play a vital part in ensuring we are infection control compliant on site.

About You
The ideal candidate will be motivated and be able to work alone and as part of a team. You’ll be task focussed and motivated to get the job done. Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided. but you’ll need to be able to follow instructions and work to deadlines.
You’ll be required to have a flexible approach to working hours, as we work shifts between the hours of 7.30am and 7pm and work on Bank Holidays. There will be a requirement that you complete cleaning schedules and use some equipment to assist in the cleaning of the premises.
