Flaxman Avenue is a six bedded homely environment where our customers can come for a short stay tailored to meet their needs.
Our aim is to give the people you will be supporting as much control over their own lives as possible.
This is a responsible role which is really varied, and extremely rewarding. You will need to have good organisational skills and be able to work as part of a Team as well as being able to use your own initiative. This post will include split shifts, weekend work and sleep ins.
Various contracted hours available, preferences can be discussed at interview.

The role of Support Worker is an invaluable one: it is rewarding, complex and challenging and you will play an essential role in providing support and direct care to adults with Learning Disability and/or Autism.who may display behaviours that challenge.
As part of your role you may be asked to work across other Learning Disability Services, both community and building based. Care experience, whether it be caring for a family member or professionally along with compassion and integrity to treat people with dignity and respect is desirable but not essential as Care Certificate training will be available along with the opportunity to work towards level 2/3 qualification in care if you do not already have one.
You will be supported by a line manager, have a thorough induction into your role and also have opportunities for supervision, training and development review to support you in the work that you do.
As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express him/herself spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.
