About the Role:
Wakefield District Markets are excited to announce that an opportunity has arisen to join the Operational Team as a Markets Operations Attendant; this is a permanent 37 hours per week vacant position.
The successful candidate will work as part of the markets team that is responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery, have excellent customer service skills, and be part of a team delivering a high-quality, and cost-effective service to our Outdoor Market sites and Market Halls across the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Are enthusiastic, reliable and can work independently as well as working within a team environment.
- Are flexible in working across our six markets: Castleford, Pontefract, Ossett, South Elmsall, Normanton and our Wakefield City Market.
- Work hard and get satisfaction from seeing a job done well.
- Are aware of Health and safety issues and are willing to undertake training as necessary.
- Can work outdoors carrying out various tasks such as erecting and dismantling market stalls/gazebos as well as working within our market halls at Castleford and Pontefract.
- Have flexibility around working hours to include Saturday working.
