About the Service

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and motivated Residential Manager to lead the No Wrong Door Hub and undertake the role of Registered Manager for the hub's children's home serving the west and central areas of North Yorkshire.

This is a truly unique leadership opportunity where you will champion and further develop the No Wrong Door model through strong relational practice and evidence-based interventions. Working alongside a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team, you will have the privilege of supporting children, young people and families to overcome challenges, build resilience and achieve positive futures.

As the No Wrong Door Team Manager, you will provide inspiring leadership, management and direction to staff, ensuring our culture, values and practice model are embedded in everything we do. You will play a pivotal role in developing effective multi-agency partnerships and driving forward outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

Whilst this role is immensely rewarding, we recognise that supporting young people with complex needs can at times be demanding. We are therefore committed to ensuring that our leaders are well supported, professionally challenged and able to thrive.

About the Role

Supported by two experienced Deputy Managers, you will lead a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team that includes colleagues from social care, health and police services. You will oversee a diverse range of support and placement options for young people including residential care, emergency provision, Edge of Care services, activities, and bespoke packages of support.

You will never be expected to lead this work alone. The role sits within a supportive and experienced management structure, where collaboration, reflective practice and shared problem-solving are key strengths. Alongside your Deputy Managers, you will benefit from the support and guidance of an experienced and approachable Responsible Individual and Head of Service, both of whom are committed to helping you and your team succeed.

This role requires registration with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the children's home. As such, applicants must have a minimum of two years' experience, within the last five years, in a role relevant to the residential care of children, alongside experience in a senior practitioner or management position.

The successful candidate will also participate in the out-of-hours Standby Manager rota, providing advice and support to No Wrong Door Hubs, Next Steps Supported Accommodation and the Emergency Duty Team. An additional allowance is paid for this responsibility.
