About the Role:
Wakefield Council is seeking to recruit a Project Support Officer to join the SEN Central Team within the Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Team (SENART).
This role will provide essential project and operational support to the SENART service, contributing to the coordination of workflows, data, reporting and service improvement activity across SEND. The postholder will support the delivery of time‑limited projects, performance monitoring, information requests and administrative processes that underpin the Local Authority’s statutory duties under the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
Working closely with managers and the wider SEN Central Team, the role will help ensure information is accurate, processes are consistent, and projects are delivered in a timely and organised manner, enabling frontline staff to focus on their core statutory responsibilities.
This is a key support role at a time of increasing demand and system pressure, contributing to service resilience, quality assurance and effective use of public resources across SEND.
