The role will ensure that the borough's approach to violence reduction is evidenced based, following best practice and addressing the local need. This role is a great opportunity for an individual who has the passion to work in partnership and support our priority to prevent and reduce violence.
The role will involve developing, monitoring and evaluating Merton’s Violence and Vulnerability Action Plan, providing updates at both an operational and strategic level. Undertake and project manage violence and community safety projects and lead on community engagement in relation to violence reduction. The role will also work in partnership to ensure the borough’s duties under the Serious Violence Duty are met.
You should ideally have experience of violence reduction initiatives and knowledge of best practise and have experience of working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders. The individual we are looking for will have excellent project management and communication skills both written and verbal.
