An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably skilled, motivated and caring person to join our team to work with and support children and young people aged up to 25 with disabilities in short breaks services.
This post requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with good communication skills. You will need to be organised and confident in interactions with children and young people who have disabilities.
Previous experience of working with people with additional needs is desirable although full training will be provided. It is essential that you are kind, caring, patient, and resilient.
You should be committed to improving the life chances of the children and young people.
You will hold a NVQ3 / Diploma in caring for children and young people or be willing to work to achieve this qualification following appointment within two years.
Effective Induction, supervision, and training will be provided to all staff.
The work involves shift patterns, including weekends, waking nights, sleep ins and Bank Holidays.
