An exciting opportunity has become available for a second team manager, due to the ongoing development and expansion of learning disability services in Rotherham Adult Social Care.

About our Team
The ethos of the My Front Door, Learning Disability team, is to ensure that every person with a learning disability/autism has access to support, services and opportunities via their own Front Door.
Across all of society we are seeing people’s aspirations and needs changing and becoming more diverse. The people of Rotherham with a learning disability/autism, have been telling people who commission and provide services that they want the same opportunities to achieve their dreams as anyone else. People want access to their local and wider community, employment opportunities, leisure time, friendships, and to travel as independently as possible around the borough.
In the My Front Door team, we aim to support people to build on their strengths, achieve their outcomes, and be connected to their community. Our staff are exceptionally committed and are passionate about working in Rotherham, for the people of Rotherham.
As a learning disability/autism team, we have been transforming our LD/autism services and as such have expanded the number of people, we are able to support. We cover the whole of the borough and have bases both at our Riverside and Maltby offices.
We work with adults of all ages, from leaving the Transitions service to older adults who have a learning disability/autism and where a review of their needs is necessary. This could be due to their annual review or a change in their long- and short-term needs. We work holistically with professionals, families and carers and ensure that the person remains at the centre of all the support we aim to offer.
Every day is different, and the breadth of work spans across duty interventions, assessment and care management, safeguarding adults, and court of protection work. If you are looking for a role to make the best of your skills and experience this is role for you!
About You
You will lead a team of Social Work qualified and vocationally qualified staff to deliver an evidence based, strengths service to adults with eligible needs under the Care Act 2014. It will be your role to ensure that services and support is provided in accordance with the legal frameworks governing Adult Social Care including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Making Safeguarding Personal and Continuing Healthcare Frameworks. You will ensure that you and the team uphold the principles of Rotherham’s Adult Social Care Pathway, which aims to support people to live as full and independent a life as possible in the community.
As a Team Manager, you will be expected to coordinate caseloads and case allocations to ensure minimum waiting times for customers. You will quality assure assessment work, ensuring that a strength and assets-based approach is utilised and that work is reviewed and recorded to a high standard. You will maintain oversight and responsibility of the performance of the team and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team and the service. Team Managers are also required to plan for annual leave, identifying delegated authority to ensure the continuation of a high-quality service.
This role is required to work closely with practice and quality assurance leads across to structure to embed best practice and ensure quality of our services is to a high standard.

From 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a weekly / monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded of three additional day’s leave (pro rata for part-time)
