A high level of commitment to delivering excellent service is essential. The role will cover various waste, refuse and recycling collection rounds across the local area where you will be using appropriate equipment/machinery.
The nature of the work means that the post holder will come into contact with members of the public, and a polite and helpful approach is essential.
The post will be based in Kendal and will require working Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 3.00pm and Friday 7.00am to 2.30pm.
Who we are looking for
Candidates will need to be physically fit and able to carry out the waste collection rounds. They will also need to have good customer skills and professional attitude as they are representing the Council in the local area.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake IOSH Working Safely and will also have the opportunity to undertake a level 2 qualification in sustainable resource management. Full training will be given in the use of any plant or machinery with which the successful candidate may be unfamiliar.
