About the role
As Team Manager, you will lead skilled Practice Managers and multidisciplinary teams, driving innovation, performance and high-quality practice while shaping the future direction of youth justice across North Yorkshire whilst ensuring effective risk management, maintaining compliance with national standards and inspection requirements.
This is a key leadership role within Children and Families Early Help, providing operational management and strategic direction across a multi-disciplinary service committed to preventing offending, safeguarding children, protecting the public, and improving outcomes for children in conflict with the law.
Working closely with senior leaders and strategic partners, you will drive service improvement, performance management and innovation across the service. You will chair complex multi-agency meetings, provide oversight of high-risk and vulnerable cases, and contribute to the development of youth justice policy, strategy and practice across North Yorkshire.
You will be an accomplished manager with substantial experience of working within youth justice, children's services, probation or a related field. You will bring a strong understanding of youth justice legislation, risk assessment and safeguarding, coupled with proven experience of leading staff, managing performance and developing effective partnerships.
