Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated person to support the operational delivery of the Material Recover Facility in Barrow-in-Furness, within the waste and street scene service. The role is to assist in ensuring that the waste is received and recorded in an efficient manner, working alongside other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the site and liaising with contractors and other departments.
The post will be based at the Material Recovery Facility on Walney Road, hours of work are to be agreed but requirements may include Monday – Sunday 8am – 5pm
Who we are looking for…
A flexible approach, and a high level of commitment to delivering an excellent service is essential for this role, as is the ability to work with a diverse range of people. The nature of the work means that the post holder will need great communications skills, and a polite and helpful approach is also essential.
The successful candidate will be provided with training on the systems and processes used and on-site safety training will also be given.
